Operation Pretty Things is excited to invite you to become a sponsor for The 8th Annual ONE Gala!

This spectacular black tie event will be held on Friday, September 27th 2024 at Union Station of CFCC in beautiful Wilmington NC. The primary goal of this occasion is to raise funds and awareness as we pursue our mission…to love and empower victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. This is only made possible with the help and support of sponsors like you!

OPT has served as a beacon of hope and renewal for women in domestic violence shelters, and abuse related agencies and organizations since 2007. At present, OPT is lovingly serving domestic violence shelters in 19 counties in NC, as well as shelters in Florida, Georgia, New York, Vermont and Colorado! OPT provides more than 1000 gifts of cosmetics & personal items annually to the shelters we serve.

We are hopeful that this year’s gala will be a wonderful success as well! The funds raised from this event will help us continue to create programs and opportunities like our Care 4 Program. With this program, we have designed a safe, beautiful, space for victims of abuse to come and receive professional hair and skin care services, free parking, and breakfast and much needed advocacy on the day they have to face their abusers in court.

Your sponsorship will directly impacts the lives of people like Michelle who came to us on the day she gave her victim plea before her judge and jury, and in the presence of the man who brutally assaulted her. That morning, she was lavished with love and care, and walked into that courtroom with boldness and confidence. When asked about our Care 4 Program, she said, “It’s value is beyond anything you could possibly imagine. I can’t believe anyone would love me like that. I’ve never been loved like that before. Thank you [Operation Pretty Things] for giving me a part of myself back.”
